Not shore if this helps but I had that bus error when I used putty to stop Comm

    I stopped Comm with Putty
    launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist

    Then putty for this part
    cd /usr/bin/

Then I run ienew with putty and got bus error

At this point I lost wifi

So I used term-vt did the (cd /usr/bin/) again then run ienew from term-vt
and it worked to the waiting for next step message

    Sleep 30: iunew ( 2 Times before this f**Ker worked )

    Then got TestPiont 55 message

TESTPOINT WORKS: 55 (click to show complete output) - If you got this message it worked and you just do what it tells you. It will "download" to 1FF00. When done it says to run bbupdater -v, but ignore that and go to next step.

it cant remove the new base band so its upto you..

if it doesn't take you long to set you phone prefs up again just start with a new phone profile
