    Default [1.1.2 OTB] cant enter restore mode

    hi guys,
    I need to downgrade mine iphone, but can't put the phone in to restore mode using classic way ( home & sleep button -->home button ) any ideas what's up, or alternative how to get phone to restore mode e.g. using terminal or ssh...??

    Hi,

    There are 3 ways...

    1) You need to hold the 2 buttons down for quite a while, after it reboots then while the apple logo is on the screen (works for me anyway).

    2) It you click to restore from in iTunes it will put your iPhone in restore mode.

    3) The most full proof method I have found is to use a utility floating around called "dfu.exe" (on windows but I've lost the link). The other methods always result in a "unknown error" message when downgrading in iTunes, this method always works for me.
