    Unhappy [1.1.2 OTB]about UK iphone warranty and NO service problem

    I got an iphone at friday and try to unlock it, at first 3hours it seems to be ok, can call and sending SMS, but later it occurred "No service" problem. when i use ziphone to unlock again, it seems to be showed my carrier but the signal was bad and i cannot dial or receive any calls.

    finally i refurbished it using ziphone and activated it by itunes. but it still had "No Service" problem..

    Can I take it to the apple store to repair it? cuz i activated it in normal way...

    cheers,

    So you got it at an Apple Store yeah?

    If so, then if you've changed your bootloader you're a bit knackered. If it was an O2 store, then you'd be in luck as they certainly don't check the bootloader.

    I don't think you'll be able to take it back to an O2 store, as your receipt will be from an Apple store.

    Have you downgraded your bootloader?

    Take it to O2 and say it was a present and was purchased from another O2 store but you dont have the receipt and won't be able to get it!

    As you are activated you will be covered by warranty and O2 will either replace it or send it to an authorised repair centre who are NOT Apple and they will most likely sent you a new phone as a replacement!

    And next time DONT USE ZiPhone! If you had used iLiberty/iPlus you could have gone back to 4.6 and gotten it swapped by Apple immediately!

    Make sure before you take it to O2 that you are NOT jailbreaked and if you are restore it again.

    O2 don't check the phone and they will accept it as your on an official contract so you will be fine. JUST NO TO ZIPHONE! I hope you learned your lesson!
    iPhone US 8GB
    FW 1.0.2--> iUnlock--> iPhoneSIMfree--> 1.1.1 --> 1.1.2--> Soft upgrade 1.1.3 --> 1.1.4 using signal.app
    iPhone UK 16GB
    FW 1.1.3 OOB --> 1.1.4 --> iPlus 1.2 unlocked!
