Is there a way to lock the iPhone immediately instead of waiting for "Auto-Lock" to kick in? I would like to lock my iPhone quickly before throwing it in my bag or my pocket. Any ideas?

Hit the power key on the top of the phone it locks it. I think that is why they call it the sleep/wake button in the manual. As they say in Customer Services in so many companies RTFM lol.
