just wondering if anyone knows if 1.1.2 fixed the problem with receiving notification messages such as voice mail from the network ?

yes if you are referring to how non-ATT (or at-least non-US) voicemail SMS would come through scrambled or not at all... that is fixed in 1.1.2

Perhaps I'm being even more dense than usual, but surely to know that the SMS problem, plaguing us non US activated and unlocked 1.1.1 people, is fixed in 1.1.2, must predicate an upgrade to 1.1.2 and activation? Could you share with us how you did it?

i am refering to how the sms would not come in at all. but how can you tell this is fixed ?

well for me

in 1.0.2 i would not get the SMS at all
in 1.1.1 I would get it sometimes but it was scrambled
in 1.1.2 it comes through clear

I am confident the problem has been fixed.

Skinny07, We apparently have different problems. On Vodafone UK, I had the red dot notification on 1.0.2 , lost it on 1.1.1. (This is also referred to in my previous posts ) I am avoiding 1.1.2 until a proven way to activate my iPhone appears.

Interesting. In 1.1.1. you received the message sometimes? Don't think we're talking about the same thing since the problem we're talking about affects 90% of us outside of the US and there were no "sometimes."

My phone is currently jailbroken with 1.1.2, just working on patching the 1.1.1 lockdownd and then I'll test it myself.

My iPhone freeze when get voicemail notification.
