[1.1.2] Cloning iPhone content
Hi,
I managed to drop my phone whilst making a call to the emergency services to assist a guy who had flipped his car on a dark country road last night !! Where's the justice in that !!
Anyway, I have a new screen ordered but in the mean time I was thinking. If I wanted to transfer EVERYTHING from one iPhone to another (Apps, settings, springboard settings etc. Is there a way to do it ?
I have another jailbroken iPhone running the same firmware (1.1.2) and it would be nice to know that if I totalled my phone at some stage, i wouldn't have to install everything from scratch.
All iTunes will do is replace the music, movies, contacts and ringtones from what I can tell.
All my mail settings, preferences and other personalisation will disappear
Anyone ?

Look for a thread that describes how to backup your system partition using SSH.

Just use SSH and copy ALL of the folders, or just copy the applications and settings fol or whatever folders you want
