    Default [1.1.2][Battery drain] after ZiPhone

    UK iPhone week 43
    1.1.2 (4.6BL)
    Jailbroken

With the above configuration the battery did not start to show any discharge until day four when left on standby.

I have recently unlocked the phone with Zibri 2.2 GUI Version using the -U (unlock only). The phone is now unlocked for all SIM providers.

Now the battery shows 1/4 discharge after 1 - 1/2 days in standby. I have SSH and Bluetooth switched OFF.

Why does the battery drain quicker after a Zibri unlock?

How can I tell if WiFi is turned OFF when the phone is in standby mode?
    um........is not an answer

ive had a 1.1.3 ziphone unlock and I also noticed that my phone was close to half full and then within an hour completely drained, I have recently upgraded to 1.1.4 and have not had the same problem, perhaps an app is crashing and hitting an infinite lopp draining the battery?

    Same here!

Have a week 30 phone, originally HW unlocked 1.0.2
Then upgraded to 1.1.3 unlocked with ZiPhone dos mode. First few days OK.
    After while noticed battery drain.
Updated to 1.1.4 yesterday and unlocked with ZiPhone 2.5c GUI
Did not even install 1 app.
Now a full battery does not even survive the night.
    Fun's over.

Tried with or without Wifi, no avail.

Don't know if it's something..... but the inversed E in the upper left corner on the right side of the provider logo does not appear anymore. There's a full white square instead. I did not pay attention at first since I don't (want) to use EDGE or GPRS. Maybe it's a clue.....

The day I wrote the above (03/03/2008) I fully charged my phone and turned WiFi OFF and left the phone in standby mode and today (06/03/2008) three days later I have NO visible battery drain. As seen in my original post if I leave WiFi switched on and then put the phone in standby I get battery drain after 1 1/2 days

Can someone confirm that WiFi should turn itself OFF when in standby. If this is so it seems that my WiFi is NOT turning itself OFF automatically when in standby which makes me think Ziphone is to blame as this problem only surfaced after the Ziphone unlock.
