[1.1.2][Advice] Travelling Iphone
Dear Gurus,
Please help me.
I bought my jailbroken 1.1.2 in Australia about 8 mths ago and it works fine there with my Optus sim.
Last week I went to UK, bought a local Vodafone sim to avoid roaming charges, and its all good.
Now - yesterday I arrived in Denmark, and here it goes wrong.
I insert my danish Telmore sim, and I can make calls but not receive any. I can see there is some activity on the phone, the little wheel indicator goes around in the middle of the screen, but there is no ringtone and the call doesnt come through. Then I get the little red missed call icon, but when I go to Phone/Missed Calls it just diverts to contacts, so I can see whos call I missed.
Sorta same thing with Txts, I can send from SMSD rather from SMS or TextMessage, when it just diverts back to mainscreen. I can receive sms but again, I can only see there is one on the SMS logo, (again no ringtone) but not access SMS function, but I can see it in SMSD.
Hmmmmmm, very strange.
I hope there is a simple solution to this really anoying issue.
Kind regards,
Dorthe
PS Please dont ask if i have turned the volume up.

Seriously... maybe you should reserve this for when you become a mod. It is quite lame. If people can't see that there are rules for creating new threads then that's their problem. After all, they went through the tedious process of registering before making a comment. I only have 33 or so posts and I read the rules threads first. I also noticed that there was a format (duh?) BEFORE I even read those threads.

Hey guys,
First of all Im sorry I didnt take the time to read the rules and regulations, and thanks for changing the title rather than just deleting my post.
Second, thanks for the prompt responses. I did try the Network resetting but it made no difference. At all.
I have tried everything I can think of and more, but to no avail.
Have you any further suggestions?
Cheers,
Dorthe

No worrys about the title
With them problems you're having and if you are running 1.1.2 firmware It mite be best to simply update to 1.1.4 to fix this.

Ok - Questions and please forgive me my ignorance.
1. What is DFU mode?
2. What is ILiberty - I assume some sort of liberation?????
2. In the link that Lordofdaflies included, it clearly states at the top - Make sure your iPhone is at Firmware 1.1.4. Mine is 1.1.2. Can I safely upgrade to 1.1.4 and can you advice link to How To?
Willing but not always able
