[1.1.1] Y!Mail and YouTube problems
Thanks for allowing mme to post this question. I have been using 1.1.1 very happily for over 5 months. I recently upgraded my computer to iTunes 7.6. Maybe for that reason, my Yahoomail which was working well has stopped. I can load up my mail settings and it is even verified. But afterwards, when I click on mail, it come back with a message :
Cannot Get Mail
the user name or password for "imap.apple.mail.yahoo.com" is incorrect.
Similarly, youtube was working quite well on my Vodafone Edge connection, but now I get a message saying "you must first connect to to iTunes with an internet connection to enable YouTube".
All other functions work OK including Safari. I have not restored or upgraded my version 1.1.1
How can I get my Y!mail and You Tube to work, please?
I suspect Apple is blocking mail IDs in countries like Australia and India since the iphone is not officially released here.
Tks

I doubt apple is intentionally blocking emails from other countries, more likely since the newest itunes is meant for the newest iphone firmware you will probably have better luck if you update your iphone to 1.1.4. It has more features than 1.1.1 (I think yahoo mail is even better supported in 1.1.4) and is easily jailbroken and unlocked, just use iliberty+ or pwnage. Anyways good luck with whatever you decide to do.

There have been TONS of bug fixes and new features since 111. Upgrade to 114 then do iLiberty+. There is now ZERO risk to go to 114 and ZERO reason to stay on 111. It is also more difficult to get support on forums for 111 since almost everyone on here is now running on the latest firmware.
