1.1.1 problem: Disk0 has relocked as if the phone returned to jail. What is going on?
I have a IPSF unlocked phone that was upgraded from 1.0.2 to 1.1.1 on a Windows machine with the following steps:
symlink, upgrade, iphuc-jailbreak, ssh-ify with dropbear, iAsign on Windows, fix YouTube, use WinSCP to copy Installer in /Applications, install BSD, install UIctl and Services, install Nervegas's BSD_base and BSD_extra (manually copied the files with WinSCP in the appropriate directories and then chmod 755 *), install OpenSSH, delete all the dropbear files, remove the symlink, connect to iTunes and sync. Apps installed: iLight, Installer, SendPics, UIctl, VNsea, MobileFinder, services, iBlackjack, Navizon, MobilePreview, Term-vt100, Sketches, VoiceNotes and MobileToDoList.
All was working great, until I tried to re-install BSD and OpenSSH, which gave me an Installer "Error during install script execution!" Since that point, I cannot write anything in /System or /Applications, like I have returned to jail. For instance:
# mv /var/root/test.txt /Applications
mv: cannot create regular file `/Applications/test.txt': File exists
# cp /var/root/test.txt /System
cp: cannot create regular file `/System/test.txt': File exists
My fstab seems ok:
# cat /etc/fstab
/dev/disk0s1 / hfs rw 0 1
/dev/disk0s2 /private/var hfs rw,noexec 0 2
#
I even tried to symlink and jailbreak again, but made no difference. Trying to install or uninstall anything also gives me the same Installer script error. All applications are working fine, but the phone has returned to jail!
Any idea of what is happening?

UPDATE TO PREVIOUS MESSAGE:
After a lot of tinkering and several reboots the problem mysteriously went away. Not sure what the fix was... I changed permissions on the root, /System and /Applications directories from 755 to 777 with chmod, and after a reboot (not powerdown) permissions were restored to 755 and disk0 is writeable again. I am happy this was fixed but have no clue what caused the problem or what the fix was. If anyone understands, I'd appreciate the info!

Why don't you ask the IPSF people? They do have a support forum right? No?

If you had enough expertise to help answer my question you'd know that the only relevance of mentioning this was an IPSF unlocked phone is to avoid thinking the problem could have anything to do with the baseband problems created by some other methods of unlocking 1.0.2 phones. If you can't contribute something constructive, please stay away.

If the phone is unlocked using IPSF software, then any problem arises should be addressed by the people who produce that software. I know this is an open forum but we don't have to answer IPSF questions. If IPSF can't resolve your problems, what make you think that the people here can?

You're completely missing the point. IPSF has absolutely nothing to do with his problem.
And who the fuck died and made you king? Just because you don't want to answer a question, the rest of us can't either?
Do us a favor and ban yourself.

It's a Dev Team method, so hes / shes more than welcome for help from these forums.
Anyway, what happens if you full restore of 1.1.1, then downgrade to 1.0.2, and jailbreak to 1.1.1?

That would solve the problem. Fortunately I didn't have to do that, as the problem fixed itself (see my update in post #2 above). If someone understands the cause, I'd like to know to avoid recreating the problem. Thanks!

mr_, it may be that the portion of the iPhone's drive that is allotted for apps is full. I am currently using 1.1.1, and I believe that there is only about 35mb allotted for apps. I was getting the same error under 1.0.2 when the portion of the drive allotted for apps became full. If you transferred over other apps or files in addition to the ones that you listed, that may be the issue. Just a thought.
