@ag_oo7, there's no need for deletion. From what I have seen, the volume for the speaker might be capped.

Some settings are capped while some have potential to play with. For example, when you turn the volume all the way up while playing with iPod, it's as much as the phone can go.

when i had 1.0.2, i was saying once i upgrade to 1.1.1, the volume issue would get fixed...then i said, when i go to 1.1.2

now, 5 months after i bought the phone i'm still saying the same thing, "the new fix will take care of my low volume"

I hear you (no pun intended). I converted the files to ascii so I could quickly modify and test with pico and ssh. I changed each parameter individually, with a software reboot between changes. Regardless whether you use a multiplier, or a hardcoded '1', once the value gets to one you're capped. So the only sounds out of the speaker (or ear piece) that can be increased from the default are keypad tones. Lowering them works fine (great...)

I'm convinced SystemSoundMaximumVolume.plist and com.apple.celestial.plist are dead ends for fixing the low volume on phone calls (speaker phone, or receiver).

I think the only hope may be gain tables available elsewhere. The bad news is if they existed, Apple would have cranked them up by now. Stay tuned for the next Apple WDC where Steve demos the new iHearing-aid
