Ok, so I just virginized my AnySim 1.0.2 iPhone and updated to 1.1.1, activated, jailbroke and unlocked with the new AnySim 1.1. Ofcourse all the apps are gone from the springboard. I installed installer.app and what do I see? All the apps that I had on my 1.0.2 firmware still show as installed (under Uninstalled tab).

Here's what I get:

1. I tried to delete them, but not all of them do. I mean some of them would get deleted and then would appear on Springboard after reinstallation, but some of them won't uninstall, giving me a "Error during uninstall script execution".

2. I also had the new 3.0b3 Installer.app installed while on 1.0.2 and now under the new 1.1.1 firmware it also show as being installed. When I try to reinstall it it says "No location defined in package"

So what do I do? How do I get rid of the old apps, so I can reinstall them and do I get the installer.app?

Try using independence to re-install installer.app. I was in the same boat. What I did to solve the problem was to use Independence 1.2.4 to install the installer.app (removed from within the package) into my applications using the customize option. This was yesterday before 3.0 came out. But I was able to remove all the apps except one which gave me the same script error. Not all apps will work with 1.1.1, so we have to wait until they are updated.

i know that maybe this has been answered 1000000 times, but i can't find the installer.app anywhere, i'm on a 1.1.1 unlocked iphone and i want to install some thems on my iphone, where can i get it??
PS: i'm not shure, but i have to get it inside the phone using independence right??

I am in the same situation and really be greatful if someone more knowledgable could help...

Ok found a solution:

You have to delete /var/root/Library/Installer folder, after that Installer "forgets" everything it downloaded and isntalled. Then launch installer.app, your list of apps will
be blank, just hit refresh and it will update giving you the full list of apps. Also you will need to add again all the sources you added before.

I have a MAC activated (and unlocked) 1.1.1 and I have manually installed 'Installer' but it is not v3 (old UI and springboard icon), although when I go to the uninstall tab it says that it is "installer Version 3.0b3". It does give me the option to Install when I click on it but when I do so it says ' No Location defined in package!' and then nothing. If I press the 'update' tab and refresh it 'Refreshes sources' and 'Registering packages' but then nothing happens.

In addition my 'space available' has dropped to 39.1MB.

Haha, i have the same, where can i download the app to just ssh to the phone, not the program that will install it.. i just need the app to throw on the phone myself... I got 1.1.1 unlocked working w/ independence and threw on anySIM..


i need link to get installer.app not the program to install it..

Check my previous post (#5) it's all there. After you do that you will be given an option to update installer.app

Just download the installation program from Nullriver website, the assuming you're using a MAC right click on it and select "view contents" or something like that. You will see the actual installer.app inside that you can SSH to your phone or use iNdependence.

Thanks Gevor... I tried what you suggested but everytime I attempted to delete the folder it said that it was unable to do so??
