I've just moved across to O2 here in the UK, and I've been trying to get call merging to work. I've noticed a few posts here about people who have had a similar experience merging calls, but no one was able to help.

What happens is that I make a call, press 'add call' and dial another call ( original call is placed on hold). If I then try to press the merge calls button, the phone looks like it tries to do the merge, but then separates the calls again.

I'd like to provide some more information, in case this helps anyone to solve this problem with me. Can anyone suggest which log files I should look in that would give me an indication of what might be going wrong?

Any help anyone can give would be much appreciated.

being that you are running 1.1.1 and o2 wasn't fully supported until 1.1.2 i would highly recamend that you concider upgrading.

I run 1.1.2 and have the same problem, I expect it is an operator issue, probably to do with not having an official iPhone contract.

I think they deliberately disable the second line support - as they can make money on a 20ppm 'conference call' facility.
