Default [1.0.2 OTB] Whenever I restore through Itunes, does it install original baseband?

Whenever I do the restore through I-tunes, does it reinstall the original baseband and firmware? I am about to take my phone into warranty, but am worried that the original baseband will not be the same. I went ahead and restored to 1.0.2, but since it's not activated I cannot check the baseband?

I have a deadstrip on the bottom so I can't access some things as well. Can someone please chime in? I plan on going today. Thank you!

The baseband should match the firmware for whatever the last one you updated too was. For example, if you were on 1.1.3 and restored to 1.0.2 in iTunes, the baseband will not be downgraded and will remain on the 1.1.3 one (04.03.13_G).

You should shift-restore it to whatever the last firmware was, or if you really want it to be exactly like a 1.0.2 OTB, you'll need to activate/jailbreak, and do a baseband downgrade to the one that came with 1.0.2, which was 3-something. Then shift-restore again to 1.0.2 and it should be like new with the activate/jailbreak wiped, 1.0.2 firmware and 1.0.2 baseband.

EDIT: I haven't used iLiberty, but it appears from reading other threads that it has an option to erase and replace the baseband to match the corresponding firmware being used. Might be something to check out if you want the 1.0.2 firmware and baseband on the phone.

Thank you very much for the quick response. I will check out iLiberty as soon as I get home. Trying to make it exactly like 1.0.2 OTB.

Any more info would be greatly appreciated!

I went to the Apple store today and I had a very nice lady. She replaced the phone for me without asking any questions. Thank you hackint0sh!
