[1.0.2 OTB][Problem][Restore works on Genius Bar computer but not my two window PCs]

When I try to restore my iPhone on either one of my PCs I get the "Unknown Error has occurred (6.)" message every time. This was problematic as I was stuck in recovery mode with the "Connect to Itunes" message and the yellow triangle. iBrickr was unable to reboot it in normal mode. At first I thought my iPhone (it was unlocked at the time) was bricked but when I brought it to the Genius Bar, the Genius was able to restore it without a single snag using the very same cable that I had brought along.

Once restored I proceeded to revirginizing it (which worked perfectly fine) prior to upgrading to 1.1.1 but once again at the restore part afterwards to 1.1.1 I get the exact same problem as when I was trying to restore earlier on.

I've uninstalled iTunes, Apple Mobile Device Support and reinstalled them both. No luck. I tried a new windows PC and still no luck. This is odd because I clearly remember restoring a month earlier with no problem whatsoever. I havn't tried another Mac because I don't have one but I'm eventually going to go back to the Apple store to see if they'll let me perform the restore there again. It's still incredibly annoying not being able to restore your own phone when needed without having to go to the Apple Store.

Are you connecting to a Direct USB 2.0 port on your system? Make sure you are not using a USB hub or another USB port on another device.

It's a laptop and I'm connecting it directly to the back of the computer. And I'm using 7.5 which iTunes says is the latest version.
