Missing out on a lot of fun - It's not hard to upgrade now, you'll just need to back up your stuff on iTunes, then virginize and upgrade. I'm on 1.1.1, and with a lot of the 3rd party apps out there, I have a lot of the features on 1.1.2 and 1.1.3 already

The 3rd party apps I've tried worked fine on 1.0.2 too.

I am still on 1.0.2 too! The biggest feature I want is Bluetooth music support by apple and as yet there is no sign. The whole process of 1.0.2 jailbreaking and unlocking was smoother than the newer firmwares. I use the app support and changed the phone format and it was simple. I also uploaded a ringtone with ibrick.
There's a few reasons i havent upgraded, anysim1.2u wasnt from the dev team so im not sure if its clean, though i know it works for everbody, i know that anysim1.1 allows a smooth update to new firmwares through itunes.
Most updates put ssh on the phone, i get great battery life and dont want ssh on my phone.
I really want a new apptap jailbreak meaning a installer for pc just click and wait, and i really want a new dev team anysim so i know the unlock is clean.
In regards to the current 1.1.3 soft update im tempted but with it a soft update and not one you do with itunes then jailbreak and no new anysim for the new baseband i still dont think any of the features are worth risking a expensive device that i still cant buy without importing.
All in all if it not broke dont fix it. I think apple is still holding out on us with the good upgrades!
When its as easy as itunes update, apptap jailbreak, pacay activate and anysim unlock, i might think about updating. Apple hasn't even fixed the caller id problem with sms yet! At least the phone i use is fully working! I read at least 5 posts a day with people that have non working phones, or bricks or other issues.
Good luck

Yep, still on 1.0.2 with IPSF unlock and iTunes 7.4.2.
I had an original 1.0 iphone and upgraded but since then I've stuck with my jailbroken 1.0.2.
1.1.3 tempts me but purely because I like wiggly icons! How shallow is that?
Because my unlock is on IPSF I need to avoid changing the baseband and I need to upgrade on a Power PC Mac. With so many hoops to jump through to upgrade now (1.02 to 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 to 1.1.3) I don't think it's worth it until Apple offers something really worthwhile (like copy and paste). Also, I currently have nearly 100 (many useless, I admit) apps. I hardly feel I'm missing much by remaini ng on 1.0.2.
BUT...I would like to upgrade if I see a reasonably safe way to do it. I've spent the past couple of days reading posts and I'm still not cleaar as to the best way to safely move to 1.1.3.
Any suggestions (and bear in mind that I mustn't upgrade the baseband as I'm unlocked on IPSF. I'm not concerned about Google Map Location finder - I know where I am all the time!)?

im on 102 and cant see any features as too why too upgrade
it bemuses me as to why people are so eager to go to 113 when its not perfectly unlocked
the only reason i would have upgrade to 113 was locacteme, now a 3rd party app
also i unlocked using anysim 102 and its been so long since i unlocked i cant remeber what to do.
you also hear the stories about people mesing up, so i dont want to take the chance
basically, i cant see any benifits for upgrading, where as i can see the risks!
if someone can tell me a good reason go ahead!

The only reason I upgraded to 1.1.1 (and later to 1.1.2) was alphanumeric sender SMS support. I am really dependent on SMSs from my bank, service provider etc... and most mobile shopping requires my sending and receiving SMSs from alphanumeric senders...

i would upgrade if it was simple but its not when going 102 to 11x, 111 to 112 is alot easier

Hi All! I'm at 1.0 and I totally agree with all of you, that are afraid to upgrade even to 1.1.1.
But also think that in one moment we'll need to do it or we'll get out of date and can't install some 3rd party apps as if we were in Win95
or if we in some moment we want to update to "FW 2.0" surely we can't go directly through 1.0.x to 2.0...
It's just a thought..
