[1.0.2>>>1.1.4 with iPlus] Weird Problem with SMS
Hi, have 1.02 OTB, upgraded to 1.1.1, then yesterday used iPlus 2.0 to upgrade to 1.1.4, i'm running T-Mobile USA as my carrier.
My SMS is acting a little weird, when i pull up the program, and then hit the "New Message" icon, in order to type a new text, my contacts do not show up automatically when i type the name in.
For example, i have a contact named "Bob"....when I hit the first letter "b", NOTHING comes up......and then, to get even stranger, there's this: I have a contact named "Tkach"....but when i hit the letter "T", a contact of mine by the name of "James" comes up....
What's going on here? Any ideas?
Now, if i hit the "plus (+)" button, all of my contacts show up like normal, but, again, trying to type in a name does nothing. If I have 5 contacts that start with "B", and I press "B", shouldn't they all come up?

Ok....maybe some more info will help....been trying to look into this all day, I think this might be related.
Before I did the 1.1.4 upgrade, I used iPhone PC Suite to try to back up my Contacts.....when my iPhone was connected to the PC Suite, I was playing around, and I clicked something like "Sort my Contacts" or something like that....
Well, when i disconnected from PC Suite (and again, this is all before i updated to 1.1.4) my contacts had switched from a display of FIRST, LAST to LAST, FIRST, even though in my SETTINGS, it still was chosen as FIRST, LAST.....
So, in order to get my phone to display it as FIRST, LAST, I actually had to chose in Settings LAST, FIRST....it's like when I clicked "sort" or whatever in PC SUITE, it caused my Contacts display to do the "opposite" of what I choose in Settings.....could this somehow be the reason for the SMS issue that I described above?
What would anybody recommend as being the easiest way to fix this without having to do a complete restore (and, incidentally, would a complete restore even work, because doesn't iTunes just back up your previous data/settings anyway, which would put me right back in the same boat after I "sync" the restored software?)
Any input is appreciated.
