And since there are no old iPhones to offer as a replacement they might give you a 3G?

I would just like to make a mention that the 10 per month bolt on for unlimited data and access to The Cloud WiFi hotspots is a really good deal for old iPhone users That is if you hardly use the phone for anything else.

you need an iphone web bolt on apparently....

O2 Web & Wi-Fi Bolt On for iPhone Unlimited browsing and Wi-Fi to use with an original iPhone only. 10 per month N/A Call 2425 free or text "WWW" to 21300 to subscribe.

edit - the customer service bloke said the normal web bolt on is acceptable.

Put the O2 sim in before you connect to iTunes and it might show O2 and not AT&T. Firmwares are not country specific.

edit: doesn't work. They must use IMEI to identify which carrier sold the phone.

I tried that on my American iPhone and it didn't work.
