Exclamation A word of warning BigBoss'es "Categories" app

Bec careful of BigBoss'es Catergories app as it screwed my phone and was left with it thinking it was an iPod touch and had no icons on springboard and even the freaking dock image was set down to same level of iPod touches dock -both run same/similar OS-. I was messing around with it and boy, it screwed me over be careful please, I had to restore, downgrade, etc. and now its 2:30 am in Ireland and I need my phone as im traveling to england in 3 hours.

what did you do to cause this problem. What was your firmware? What version of categories did you use? What was the exact procedure that caused this problem?

Have you been playing with the enable hide option in category? if yes then the icons are hidden. Am not sure If you have ssh, in your itouch, all you need to do is to get a stock icon ordering setting, (M68AP.plist for fw 1.1.1 and above or DisplayOrder.plist for fw 1.0.2) and upload using sftp or winscp or transmit to your ipod...

Here are the files - got problem attaching them here so i just put the original site from where they were hosted

if you like to play with homescreens/themes etc, suggest to keep backup of the original /System/Library files or at least the M68AP.plist.

For my precaution, i use Bossprefs which enable me to turn on ssh everytime i restart the phone, i can always turn it off later, but whenever things go wrong, restarting it turns on ssh back

For hiding - unhiding icons, suggests to use Customize as recommended by Bigboss himself

what i did was, sshed in to iphone, launched installer app over ssh, installed XLauncher and copyed M68AP.plist from XLauncher to /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/, rebooted and i got icons back
