Default [VNSea] connect remotely by using internet

I'm trying to set up VNSea to access my macbook pro outside of my home network. I can already access it over my home wifi, but I want to be able to access it over the EDGE network. I've tried to follow a number of tutorials with no success. I'm using a WRT54G router on my network. Remote desktop is enabled on my mac and I think I've correctly opened up port 5900. I've also tried a DynDNS account with no success. Most of the time, my iphone says "unknown authentication type" when I try and connect.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I donít have EDGE total internet so I cannot test this by myself. I am assuming you are using port 5900 /VNC default one/

First of all you have to make sure you macbook is accessible from outside. I'd suggest connecting to it from mac or pc over the internet /not in your house/. This test will confirm your router and your mac are configured correctly. If this works we need to know is the port 5900 is blocked in EDGE network.
According to http://www.saurik.com/id/3 iPhone has DNS issues. In order to avoid them you must use your WAN TCP/IP address instead your URL name as is in DynDNS. You can find your WAN address when you log in DynDNS and go to Modify Hostname page. At this point try VNSea over the WiFi /go to your friendís house or find a free WiFi spot/. We must make this work in order to continue.
If everything is working at this point, switch to EDGE instead WiFi and give a try. If it works you are all set.
If the WiFi works but EDGE doesnít, most likely the port 5900 is disabled in EDGE. We have a few workarounds here, but weíll explore them if necessary.
    Please report your findings.
