No mine seems about the same. Someone just sent me a message saying:

mr. i dont know who you are, but i spoke to one of the heads of mcafee (my uncle) he said its a fake and they are thinking of legal action, and they will most probably buy it off, the repo is a fake,

also the domain doesnt mean anything i could add any info i want to any domain i own, you ....

    Cheers,
    Ben.

P.S. I could make it so my ihacks.us website is a domain owned by apple just by copying their info....

and also mcafee doesnt have any official virus scan for the iphone yet,

    ANYTHING ELSE!!>>?!?!?!?!

P.S. 2 why dont you install it and run it and press scan and **** your iphone up, its legit , right???????

FWIW - this is my conversation with my connection at mcafee (4 hours ago).

me: hey, regarding that ivirusscan I asked you yesterday, that's not real right?
    him: yes, I checked.
me: on the internet, people are saying it's real, it's part of the mobile division
him: I talked to people in mobile division. They said if it is a "beta", then they would have known about it long ago.
me: did you talk to sales people
him: I talked to some people higher up and they don't know anything about it.
    me: oh ...ok... thanks

    Summary:
You guy can draw your own conclusions.
May be my friend didn't talk to the right people yet.

All I know for sure that it does detect (Atleast my test) virus. So it maybe made by someone unknown that uses mcafee's site, but I swear to god that it did work. So from now on I could careless if McAfee confirms it, I just know it works. I guarantee it did not harm my phone (Yet )

PS I would like to say that I have never meant to be rude, so if it seems like it I appollogize.

Or, you could just call +1.4089928100 (McAfee domains admin contact) and ask information about the mcafeemobile.com domain.

I could see this being just a leaked McAfee program that they are denying because Apple is not yet allowing 3rd party software. It is a bold move for large established corporations to release software for the iPhone when they know it is illegal.

Illegal, under which ground and law? Have you checked the list of available applications under the Installer.app?
O'Reily even put out a book on how to develop applications using the free toolchain.
