    Non-authoritative answer:
    Name: sip.voipcheap.com
    Addresses: 194.120.0.198, 194.221.62.198

so i erased freephonie.net with an hex editor and put 194.120.0.198. If the IP changes you have to go back and do another nslookup and change it. this is only a work around until someone figures the proper way of doing it. hope this helps!!
Another road to the same effect is to add a line at the end of /etc/hosts (on the iPhone) with your provider's IP address followed by freephonie.net, i.e.
    Code:
    194.120.0.198 freephonie.net
The site will be redirected to your VoIP provider.

This can be done with any text editor.

Installing Cydia programs on a phone that has no internet connection: read this.

Editing binary .plist, .strings, .nib and .xib files:
    * on your computer: Windows tool / conversion website.
    * on your iPhone: convert those files in a terminal with plutil (installed with Erica Utilities) or edit them with iFile (Cydia links).

Thanks. It works with left headphone for hearing (volume was a bit low though) and builtin mic works (other side said they can hear me clearly).

I will upload the binary so others can use it. You can use it with many different voip services from Betamax (they operate voipcheap, lowratevoip, voipraider and many many more). Just check your sip server ip with nslookup, if its 194.120.0.198 and 194.221.62.198, you can use this.

Actually I used 194.221.62.198 (found it via Domain Dossier)

I don't have any problem with settings not getting saved (using hex edited binary).
But sound really needs to be much louder, I max the volume on music player but it is still very low, any other trick to boost the volume?

havn't tried it (no wifi here) but maybe check if volume limit is set to off under settings/ipod and try to use an equalizer setting that boosts the sound a bit like spoken word. could work.

still i found no solution how to save my account settings for freecall permanently in siphon. each time i push the home button they disappear.
Someone said sth. about changing the accounts.xml file. didn't work for me.
    any ideas?

hi. i installed siphon 1.1.3 on my 1.1.3 firmware (ootb 1.0.2 upgraded+jailbroken+unlocked) iphone and edited the etc/hosts file to include the vyke sip voip ip ie. 66.205.178.59 freephonie.net
now firstly, i face the same prob as ikaputt....the settings dont get saved after returning to the springboard.
secondlly, the dialpad isnt enabled even after saving my settings.
after i tap the "SIP" button on the dialpad, the app freezes and after a few minutes, only by pressing the home button, it returns to the springboard.
so how do i finally dial a number?
