Confirmed working with FreeCall. This is awesome! I know that we have a way to use the mic, but what about the internal speaker? I haven't seen an app out there that can use that...

I wouldn't be too optimistic about the internal microphone. Apparently VoiceNotes uses it in a certain special way that is useless for VoIP. Quite possibly, the same sort of problem applies to the earpiece (but that's a slightly less pressing problem as long as the speaker output gets redirected to the earphones when they are connected).

There is a thread about VoIP and Touchmod, where these issues are discussed. See for example this post: http://hackint0sh.org/forum/showthre...641#post145641

Installing Cydia programs on a phone that has no internet connection: read this.

Editing binary .plist, .strings, .nib and .xib files:
    * on your computer: Windows tool / conversion website.
    * on your iPhone: convert those files in a terminal with plutil (installed with Erica Utilities) or edit them with iFile (Cydia links).

Idea: Make it usable with the special iPhone earbuds that have a mic

Yes, that would be sweet, so I wouldn't have to plugin another thing but just buy iPhone earphones for my iPod touch.

Maybe you can suggest this to them (for example on http://touchmods.wordpress.com/2007/...come/#comments) so they can get to work with it?

EDIT: By the way, do you have the same experience I have: that calling doesn't work with the earphone connected? As soon as I disconnect them, the call gets made. Strange.

if its this comment 'Works on iPhone 1.0.2 except loudspeaker is turned on - would like to be able to turn off.' that your referring to, my interpretation was that he could hear the other end but still couldn't use MIC - same as 1.1.1 and 1.1.2
