Question Is there any iphone theme templates?

Hi, I realy want to create some iphone themes but I wonder if there are any templates I could use/download somewhere to make it more easy to approach this since I am pretty much new at this. I have some nice ideas but I am not sure yet how to set it all up to make those themes look sleek in the iphone so if there are any good toturials please share it with me!?

I am using CS3 on VISTA (just in case...)

First of all, install Summerboard. It comes with a some themes, then you can copy to your pc, edit and upload to your iphone.

    No theme needed.

    make your wallpaper

    make your icons

    viola you have a theme.

if you are worried about alignment just download one of the many screengrabs and use that as your guide.

    icons are 60px square.

i made a nice theme by combining a couple of icons from 20 other themes
the problem is that when i uploaded it in the phone vis WINSCP, the icons dont wanna show up
it's showing under themes, (my name), i click it, but i cant see the icons

it's not like i resized anything since all the icons are taken from other ppl. but i dont get why it's not showing on summerboard

anyone, i'm sure it's an obvious problem which i'm overlooking...

Ive tried draging and dropping the themes in the propper folders using ssh. after reseting my springboard and going into the SMBPrefs the new themes show up. but after selcting the themes and restarting my iphone the new theme does not take affect. I comparied all the themes i downloaded from this site to the ones that i got from the installer app. but the themes from this site are structured different. all the icons seem to have there own folder ect.... i have also noticed that some themes are not .png they are .ipb. i have not been able to make any of the themes off this web site take effect on my iphone 1.1.2

You've kind of answered your own question.

The images have to be PNG files

    Summerboard/Themes/Name (of your theme)/Icons/

Wallpaper and docks go inside Name

Icons go inside the Icon folder

The icons have to be named the same as the application on the springboard so perferences must be named "Settings" for example.

Not all themes will be set up the same as iSwitcher and earlier themes were structured differently than the current methods. Best be is to just match the structure of the Summerboard themes you can currently download via Installer.

Don't forget to set the correct permissions by matching the existing themes. Another method is to drop your complete theme folder onto the "Themes" folder rather than being inside the Themes folder and then dragging it over.

hi, could you pls help to elaborate a few things?

    1. "The icons have to be named the same as the application on the springboard so perferences must be named "Settings" for example." so that means i can set an icon for any app at all? Cuz i looked in to the themes that came with summerboard and they don't have icons for some apps. was just wondering if that's a problem..

    2. what do you mean by set the correct permissions?

    thanks!
