    Default [Term-vt100] Set aliases permanently

How can a permament alias be set in the terminal (Term-vt100)? there's an alias command that can be used to create a shortcut for a longer command, but that doesn't survive a restart.

Installing Cydia programs on a phone that has no internet connection: read this.

Editing binary .plist, .strings, .nib and .xib files:
    * on your computer: Windows tool / conversion website.
    * on your iPhone: convert those files in a terminal with plutil (installed with Erica Utilities) or edit them with iFile (Cydia links).

Apparently you have to create a text file with the alias-setting commands, name it .profile and put it in the home directory (/var/root or /var/mobile). That works, indeed.

The idea is to make working in Terminal easier by introducing abbreviations ("aliases").
So because I have this in the ~/.profile file:
    Code:
    alias plb='plutil -c binary1'
    alias prefs='cd ~/Library/Preferences'
I can go to the Preferences directory by typing prefs (instead of the whole command) and convert Photos.plist to binary format by typing plb Photos.plist.
