    Same problem here.

If I launch Term-vt100 through SSH, it works fine without prompting for a password or login. This has to do with Term not being reconfigured for 1.1.3 and the whole root/mobile user crap, so hang tight for an inevitable update.

Funny thing is that not all people who have updated to 1.1.3 experience this.

I'm having a similar prob here with winSCP, if I use the net services app to turn off open SSH, then I can't login again with the default username/password (root, alpine) but if I un-install open SSH then re-install it, the problem is solved, but once again the second I use net services app to turn off the SSH client same thing happens & I have to do the whole process again to get it working. It appears that mabey the services.app can't toggle on / off on 1.1.3 (Dev Jail-Break)

    Running 1.1.3 with bsd 2.0 & open SSH 4.6p1-1

I confirm I am also experiencing this issue. If I turn off SSH with Services, and turn it on again, I can't connect to my phone. And since I can't use term-vt100, my only option is indeed to uninstall-reinstall openSSH.

This is really problematic for me because I wouldn't like to have ssh running on my phone all the time with the default alpine password. From what I gathered around, the command passwd is bugged in 1.1.3, so I have no way to change the default password.

    Regards.

I'm having the same problem. A main reason i jailbroke my phone was so that I can tether my macbook to the phone. Without term-vt100, this is no go. Any help?

Update: BossPrefs works fine with enabling/disabling SSH in 1.1.3. Use it instead of Services.

I'm also experiencing this problem with my official devteam jb 1.1.3 (from 1.1.2) it was running fine, now after installer reinstall attempt it will no longer launch (back to home screen shortly after launch), and launching term-vt100 will now prompt password, and neither root/mobile works with the default pass, and/or my possible 2nd password.

Add the following source to installer: http://www.trejan.com/irepo/ and install the following fixes found under "Tweaks (1.1.3)" in that order:
    1. SUID Lib Fix
    2. Term-vt100 SUID fix

If you are like me using the latest build (206) where Term-vt100 has been renamed to Terminal, issue the following command instead of installing Term-vt100 SUDI fix (again after having installed the SUID lib fix first):

    /bin/chmod +s /Applications/Terminal.app/Terminal

Login using root/alpine should work now.
