    Cool symlinking

i think symbolic lynking of the entire folder like theposter above me is the smarter choice.

however, the way i symlink is in winSCP, u right click, new > directory > and then make a symbolic link. so which to folder would i wanna symlink?

like which folder is the REAL folder, and which is the shortcut folder?

be careful, /private/var/root/Library includes Lockdown but /private/var/mobile/Library does not. You have to move the Lockdown to mobile one before deleting&symlinking root one...

    Default which to delete?

i think i would want to delete the MOBILE version and create a new Library folder which is symlinked to the root version correct?

root seems to be more important. rather delete mobile...

I am sorry to interrupt the symlinking party here but to me it seems you are only covering the symptoms.

The real problem is that iTunes synchronizes to /var/root even though it should sync to /var/mobile (according to Services.plist). Any ideas as to why this is so?

Could someone please post a detailed tutorial on how to create symlinks? I'm pretty tech savvy but this is a little too much for me. Thanks
