Default [SwirlyMMS][Solved] Working on Orange UK - how to view the received Pictures ?

As the title says, I have finally managed to get the SwirlyMMS app working on Orange UK! Using a 1.1.2 iPhone. I was looking all over this forum for these details, but couldn't find them. So just in case nobody else here has them yet, here they are:

    SwirlyMMS settings:

MMSC: mms.orange.co.uk/ [very important to put the / at the end]
    Proxy: 192.168.224.10:8080

    APN: orangemms
    Username: orange
    Password: multimedia

Edge Settings [in Settings - Network]:

    APN: orangeinternet
    Username: orange
    Password: multimedia

It is sending and receiving very well now, but the only thing I cannot do is to find the downloaded incoming MMS photos.

I found the downloaded MMS photo using Transmit FTP on my computer connected to my iPhone, at:
    private/var/mobile/Media/MMSFiles

But cannot see how to navigate to this folder using MobilePreview on the iPhone itself? I'm obviously doing something wrong! I can't seem to get into the "private" level to find this folder.

Can anyone help by telling me how to use MobilePreview to navigate to the MMSFiles folder?

It's a bit flakey still, but those settings do work on Orange UK.

You might sometimes still get the dreaded "Cannot find GPRS/EDGE" message - just try 2 or 3 times and it will work. Then you might get a "could not deliver" message, and find that your pals have in fact received your photo anyway. I have also found that it works better when you send photos at Low Quality.

    But yes, it works!!!

I just wish I could work out how to navigate to the incoming photos folder. Just cannot seem to do it via MobileFinder. Where do I get iFinder? It's not in the Installer?

    Found it!

Had to turn on the Show ".." entry option in the Settings of MobileFinder, but then I could find the correct pathway to the MMSFiles

i dont known if this will work but you can do this to see the photos in the camara roll

If your Firmware is >= 1.1.3

    move or delete /private/var/mobile/Media/MMSFiles
    ln -s /private/var/mobile/Media/MMSFiles /private/var/mobile/Media/DCIM/100APPLE
If your Firmware is <= 1.1.2

    move or delete /private/var/root/Media/MMSFiles
    ln -s /private/var/root/Media/MMSFiles /private/var/root/Media/DCIM/100APPLE
that will make a MMSFiles symlink to the camera roll folder

Arrrgggghhhh! I've been looking for those settings for weeks, spending hours trying all sorts of different combinations . . . . didn't see your post yesterday as I had given up on anyone ever posting them

Glad they work for you too anyway.

Do you find they can be a bit flakey at times too? They DO work, but sometimes I still get the "can't find EDGE" message and I have to retry a couple of times before the MMS pic will send. Also that you have to set the quality of the photo to LOW to get it to send?

    Hi, no real problems yet.

I can send above "low" but now use "low" as the cost of a message is 30p compared to 50p for larger images.

The only problem I had was the mms apn settings seemed to override the orangeinternet apn so I could not connect via edge to the internet.

Yes mine was doing that too at first - but I upgraded to the latest version of SwirlyMMS and that seems to have solved the problem. The EDGE settings stay correct now.
