Default Successful 1.1.1 Jailbreak. Limited Available Memory for Native 3rd-party Apps?

I jailbroke 1.1.1 using Trip1Prepz to create the media.old (or whatever it's called) and SSH'd using Winscp to install apptapp. Everything works great. However, in 1.02 AppTapp showed about 130 MB of available space to install apps. In 1.1.1, I only have about 60 MBs.

Is there anything I can delete from the device now that the jailbreak is complete so I can get the available memory back?

    Thanks in advance.

AppTapp only shows the available amount of programs to download, not free storage space.

I thought that was the case too, but if you install enough, you'll hit 0 bytes and start to get installation errors. Not everything decreases this value, either; some files (like Summerboard themes) don't seem to count.

I suspect it's limited by the partitioning scheme. Does anyone have any more specific information on this? It would be nice to be able to install absolutely everything.

No, that's not true. OS X on the iPhone occupies its own partition, which is only about 300mb in size. 1.1.1 was about 60-70 mbs larger than 1.0.2, you do the math.

There is a way around this using more sym links, but it could get a little messy if you don't know what you're doing.

The reason why some things don't seem to count is because they are installed on the Media partition, at /var/root/Media/*whatever*, which isn't included in the free space.

I know dictionaries don't count. Themes don't seem to either, though I haven't installed enough to know for sure.
