Default [SpringBoard] Endless Reboot on 1.1.3

I just installed the syncFix via installer to fix the mail accounts and the sync issues with the DevTeam 1.1.3 jailbreak and update. After doing that, the springboard rebooted, which is normal, but now it just keeps rebooting. I have switched it off, but it back on, its still doing it. I put it into DFU mode and kicked it back out using ibrikr0.91 and its still rebooting my springboard and displaying the message "Edit Home Screen" every time.

Has anyone else come accross this issue?
    Please help!

Hi, that happened to me last night. For more than an hour I tried to find a way to fix it, but unfortunately that was not possible.

My solution was to restore back to 1.1.1, virginize baseband, restore 1.1.1, Oktoprep, update to 1.1.2, soft upgrade to 1.1.3.

Now it seems to be working without reboots, however I have not managed to sync calendars yet.

In fact, I upgraded 2 different phones to 1.1.3 and one of them exactly had this behavior after I tried re-installing one app (cannot remember which one). I had to restore it all them way to 1.1.1 but did not upgrade it again to 1.1.3 at the end since I could not understand what caused the issue and did not want to go through the whole process again and again ...
Funny enougth the other iphone works like a charm and I never had any issue reported here (like email password being lost, gprs not working, aso) everything just works fine here

the only fix to get out of endless springboard reboot it to completely start from scratch by jailbreaking 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 and them back to 1.1.3 i had the same problem after i changed SSH password and that was my only fix.

I had a similar issue after installing an app yestoday. So I used Ibrickr (it work after a couple of minitues of booting even though the booting never completes). I then used the file option and deleted all the files in the applications .app folder. I then rebooted the phone. i tried installing the app again and same issue.

After a bit of messing it seems there is a limit on how many apps I can have installed at once, after uninstalling another app I was able to install the one that failed. If I tried to install another differant app I would get the same endless boot.

So if you do get this issue after installing try deleting it in ibrickr and uninstalling any apps you don't use.

Happened to me twice yesterday, it is very frustrating.....

I went back to 1.1.1, and i will stay there until there is an explanation fo what causes the problem or a fix, so bad since i like 1.1.3

actually the phone probably turns on. Its just that the springboard won't load up. See if you can still SSH into the phone.

If so and you know the files it altered, you could just replace the new files with originals and springboard will automatically boot up

turn on the phone, then wait 30 seconds to a minute. Then try to ssh

I have been having this problem as well. I would upgrade to 1.1.3 (AT&T) and after installing tons of apps and settings things up, I would install an app on installer and when it rebooted it would freeze and reboot endlessly. if it didn't reboot over and over it would end up stuck on the apple logo and sit there for 15 minutes before it would reboot again.

You can SSH into the phone while its on the apple logo, and if you plug it into itunes it syncs like a normal phone, just the springboard doesn't load.

I've had to restore from 1.1.3 to 1.1.1 and go back to 1.1.3 at least 10 times before I figured out this fix.

simply SSH into your phone and goto the last app you installed. - the one thats making it reboot over and over and change permissions using

    chmod 755 *

if your issue is the same as mine, your phone should instantly kick into springboard as soon as you apply the permisisons (i used terminal on a mac).

this happened to me when trying to install the othello.app from laoren - weiphone

I had to terminal to my applications and then chomod 755 * inside othello.app
instantly my phone stopped being stuck at the apple logo and my spring board booted up.

try it out on the last app or thing you did on your iphone and hopefully it will unstick for you without having to do a system restore.
