    Default Sources 4 Cydia

Can i has cheez... oops, repo list?

New iphone user here , and I just used iLiberty+ & BootNeuter on my phone, and am finding the apps available in the Cydia installer rather lacking. And the BigBoss repo downloaded from the Cydia installer doesn't work (gets an error when trying to refresh sources). So can you guys list out some of the good ones out there please?

Here's what's on my phone after installing Cydia (through a payload in iLiberty+):
    deb http://apt.saurik.com/ tangelo main
    deb http://iphonesurge.com/cydia/ stable main
    deb http://modmyifone.com/repo/ stable main
    deb http://repo.smxy.org/cydia/apt/ xena main

And here's what I got after installing the BigBoss repo from the Cydia installer:
    deb http://thebigboss.org/repofiles/cydia/ stable main

All the sources are built-into Cydia, currently there is not a "clean" way to add sources; no input editor currently built.
There must be some sort of network error when your trying to reach the BB repository, try again latter.

If you have SSH installed try this:

ssh into your iPhone, then enter "apt-get update"; this will download any changes to the source repositories..

Then type "apt-get upgrade" this will upgrade all the applications you have installed under Cydia.

"dkpg -l" will out put a list off all applications you have installed under Cydia.

While Cydia may not have as many applications, the use of apt-get is a far better install method.

    HtH,

    Denis

At the moment, Ste's repo returns a '404 Not Found' error, and BigBoss's site returns a '403 Forbidden' error.

Thanks. Read that a while ago, forgot about the source it provided. But it doesn't seem like it's been updated at all.

For anyone getting an error when updating the Cydia sources after installing the BigBoss source, installing the updates to all Cydia components first would settle this problem. This happened to me because I used iLiberty+ to install Cydia through a payload, and I kept getting an error because I never bothered to install the updates first.

Learnt that from an email from the BigBoss himself (thanks!).
