    hey,
i'm having truble using term or terminal. after sshing i write 2 letters and the connection on my mac closes. while trying using term on the iphone it freezes up.
i've also tried using the payload and after the first reboot my iphone would go into normal functioning and ignore iliberty is working at all... any thoughts anyone? i can't seem to download anything right now except theme packs for summer board.
i'm on a mac running leopard, 1.1.4 unlocked using iliberty, 1.0.2 OTB.
    thanx alot!

Just clearing the caches and doing a reboot solve my problem, so using only this 2 lines from 1st post i could get rid of the download failed thing.

    rm -R /var/mobile/Library/Caches/Installer
    rm -R /var/mobile/Library/Installer/Temp

    rm -R /var/mobile/Library/Caches/Installer
    rm -R /var/mobile/Library/Installer/Temp
Because you had corrupted Temp/Caches folders doesn't mean everybody have.
Check your Installer binary's permissions, if they are just 755 you'll get the same issue again later, because some installation scripts from apps need/require root level to write files or execute commands.

Reinstalling SSH and BSD payload from iLiberty+ should solve the problem.

If you only remove these two folders, you wouldn't know if your BSD is broken or not.
That could lead you to furthers headaches.

when I do chown I get this error... what does this mean?

    private/var/root/Applications/Installer.app$ chown root:wheel Installer
    dyld: Library not loaded: libarmfp.dylib
    Referenced from: /usr/bin/chown
Reason: unsafe use of relative path libarmfp.dylib in /usr/bin/chown with setuid binary

It means that your BSD Subsystem is broken (or not correctly installed).

Try to reinstall it before applying the manual Installer fix.

I tried /usr/sbin/chown instead of /usr/bin/chown and it worked fine!
