    Default [SMS][SOLVED] crashes

    Hey PPL.

Wonders if i can get some assistent here.
My sms app is crashing. when i press the sms button its shows a white screen for like 6-7 seconds then folds back to the home screen.
i tried deleting my foreign language keyboard but no luck.. reinstalled it..same..
i deleted all sms msgs using iSms app and still the same.
looking here in the forum someone suggested setting the clock 2 days back.. but that didnt work either..
i really dont want to restore the unit and loose all media and such..any ideas?
    thnx so much

    PS
    its a unlocked JB 1.1.2

Did you try a reset? hold the ON and HOME key... it worked for me. I had multiple apps crashing. Also check your summerboard setting (dim wallaper OFF).

    Default sms.db

try deleting the sms.db which is found at /var/root/Library/SMS/sms.db
use ibrickr/ifantasic or any iphone file browser or SSH client. go to /var/root/Library/SMS/ and delete sms.db then restart your iphone (home button + power button) and problem should be solved!!

ok... assuming you use 3rd party apps, you can try one of these solutions ( i recommend you use solution 3 first)

    1. reinstall/restore

    2. delete and install app manually (read before you start)
use iNDEPENDENCE (or iDemocracy for PC) to delete the app manually and tell someone else to send you the original sms app again(to put it back on)

    3. delete (manually) and install again
use iNDEPENCENCE or iDemocracy to uninstall SMS , use installer.app to install (update this one later-- very soon, just searching installer)

nvm use this for step 2 : www.cyber.si/iphone/mobilesms.zip

    4. use iSMS or other apps for the same function... (you can use customize to put iSMS in the dock and hide the normal SMS app)z

When they made the iPhone apple does not think that we shall have so many apps so all the apps they made is in the /apps folder; to remove an app is just to delete/move away an app from that directory

use iNDEPENDENCE/iDEMOCRACY to make changes to the apps file directory

for further info post asap. (I live in Hong Kong... and it's gonna get late)

Just to let eveybody whos interested know that i solved the issue.
inside Applications/MobileSMS.app i saw two suspicious files : MobileSMS & MobileSMS2. I have no idea why i had two of those but i just switch between them and now all works perfectly
