Discuss [SMS] sms "error sending message" help at the Free Toolchain Software (Cydia App's) - Hackint0sh.org; I did a restore 1.1.1 the 1.1.2 and all the stuff around and it works ...
I did a restore 1.1.1 the 1.1.2 and all the stuff around and it works now!
Not sure it wont show up again !!!
I have the same sms problem.
There are many previous threads on this issue, and the solution might be this:
Dial *5005*7672*xxxxxxxxxx# and press Call (xxxxxxxx is your sms central number)
Find your sms central number here:
Didn´t work for me, though, I'm still looking for a solution
nextsim2 "error sending message"
this error happend to me as well, ...i could not send sms for the last 6 hours but now it works!
im using "next sim2" ...by the way "next sim3" does not exist:p :p
the number on the end indicates the version it is made for: for ex next sim2 for 1.1.2, since 1.1.3 has not been cracked yet, there is NO next sim3!!!
i sent an sms to a number with wich i did NOT have a conversation yet (businessphone) ... is sent fine and from that point on it everything else worked fine as well!
...by the way, this is not the first time this has happened to me BUT this solution worked already before!!!!!
again: SEND sms to a number with which you do NOT have a conversation YET!!!
Now I can send sms's again - turned out my phone company has two sms center #'s - and I, of course, dialled the "wrong" one - :-/
So - a call to your provider might solve your problem..
Hi tehre i have the same problem using a 3GPPSIM 4th Gen, i can send and recieve calls, but i got the messages with a super delay and i keep recieving the message "error sending message", help please!
Hi guys, I've been searching for many days on this topic, and today have finally resolved the issue (it's not a good solution though).
I'm using the NextSim2 in Australia on the Optus network. It appears that the NextSim's or any China3GPP sim card things (NextSim is made by China3gPP) are experiencing this problem around the world. See the thread below.
This makes sense unfortunately! So I'm off to buy another sim card thing for my iPhone.
I hope this clarifies things for people.
NextSim and China3GPP = EVIL!!
I am having the same problem as well. I have tried everything possible. I am on T-mobile with a 1.1.2 and stealthsim. I put another stealthsim card (my friends) and it worked fine. I think it has something to do with the edge network.
This problem has been discussed quite a bit here:
I think I've come up with a solution though!
This is what I posted on the thread I mentioned:
"Hi guys, now i was thinking (and by no means i am no expert on these things), but the instructions from next sim (or china3gpp cards) on how to attach them to your sim card shows you sticking double sided tape to quite a bit of the next sim device.
The problem with this is that when you attach it to your sim card, it sticks onto the chipboard of the simcard and reduces contact. This would cause the thing to overheat and start to cut out giving us the problem we've all been having. Someone had mentioned that sending messages uses more 'energy' (definitely wrong term, sorry!) than phone calls which explains why it can't send messages properly and then cuts itself out.
I've just taken my next sim off my sim card, cleaned both with methylated spirits to clean them and stuck it back making sure that the double sided tape doesn't touch the circuit board of the sim.
For the past couple of days i couldn't message, but now - all is fine! I'll keep you posted as to whether this fixes the problem for more than just a few hours!"
It has now been 3 days since I did this and guess what - NOT A SINGLE ERROR MESSAGE!!! whereas before I was getting the message every day multiple times a day!
Give it a try, it won't hurt!
let me know how it works for you guys
Here is a pick to see how and where to apply the double sided adhesive paper. This paper is very thin and when you stick 2 sim cards together you have to make sure of good alignment and contact of both cards.
You also have to make sure that the cooper contacts are free and no adhesive paper remains what so ever.
Some Next Sim producers already stick one part of the paper over the Next Sim cards to make it easy. However make sure it is nicely done before you stick your own card on it.
