Wink SMS notification without showing messege content?

    Guys,

As it is, when SMS notification popped up, it shows the Sender's name as well as the contect of the sms messege.

I'm wondering if there anyway to control this sms notification by, just displaying the Sender's name but hide the sms messgege content?

I think this should provide much more privacy not to allow other to view the content of the mesenge before you open or unlock the phone to view the sms.

What do you think, guys? Possible to control that in anyway?

    it says "show sms preview"
u can disable it from there
so that u need to input the unlock code in order to see the msg

    Hi Zuz!,

Thank you for your kind reply! I did not know there is such SMS preview option since I do not make use of the Passcode at all.

    Cheers!

i wish u could turn off the popup notification completly, the bubble on the text icon and the icon on status bar with taskbar notifier app is enough

    Unhappy

Actually, I wish that I don't have to set SMS Preview to OFF and use the passcode everytime to view the sms content.

I use 2-minite's auto-lock, and during heavy exchange of sms, let's say in 1 hour, with 30 or more incoming sms and with my phone auto-locked at every 2-minute (to save the horrible battery life!), I got to key in my passcode to unlock endless time just to view the sms content, and that is counter-productive!

I still wish someone could come up with a solution or at least, could "tweak" it so that when setting SMS Preview to OFF, passocde is not required to view the sms content

I agree, we need the patch. apple has already implemented it with pwd lock. we just need to replicate it somehow in ordinary use also.. sounds easy?
