    Thumbs up

this is an awsome app, very helpfull. tested on fw111 with a german o2 prepaid sim.

    found some minor cosmetic issues:

    - startup icon is streched and croppy

    - names are seperated into first and last name even if they have been both in the same field together.

    - german/foreign umlaute like , , are not supported and shown as funny symbols

    - as posted above, a reverse option would be great.

keep up the good work!!! thumbs up

Sorry, no screenshots for now. Maybe later, after I set up a web site.

    Default problem running the app

    Hi alex,

i have copied the files to the SIMport folder and i can see the icon but cant seem to able to run the app.

    Please help.
It would be nice if you could tell which files are to be copied over.
Coz whn i unzip the simport.zip , i get a pxl file and if i extract the contents of pxl file i get some other files. I tried installing by copying the files extracted from pxl file to the simport folder but still no luck.

    Please help.
    Thanks,

mkdir /Applcations/SIMport.app (If the folder is named SIMport, it won't be recognized by Springboard)

By all files he means all files within the pxl file as well as all the files within the app folder inside pxl.
Copy all the files (2 are directly inside the pxl and 7 are inside the app folder) to the SIMport.app folder in your Iphone. Don't forget to change the permissions to 775 for all the files as well as the folder SIMPort.app on the iphone.

Try this for verifying if everything is correct:
    Install a terminal on IPhone.
Open Terminal on IPhone itself (not ssh window on pc or mac) and type:
    cd /Applications/SIMport
    ./SIMport &

At this point SIMport should startup (wait for sometime for it load contacts).

If it works then you atleast have a working application. To close it you will need to restart the phone (because '&' at the end of command starts the application in background)

    Worked like a charm!! THANKS

I didn't go the ibrickr route I used SSH with Winscp, created the Simport.app folder inside the Applications directory and copy all 9 files together without the app folder and changed permissions boot up and voila SIMPORT icon.

Thanks again alex let us know of any changes or improvements.
