Default [Req] [Solved] Sound Reminder for Missed Calls and received SMS

If I miss a call or text message the phone does not give me a regular tone reminder. All other cell phones I have ever owned have this feature why not the iPhone . I don't want to have to check my screen every half hour or so to see if I have a missed a call etc. What's the advantage of not being reminded of a missed call? and does anyone else find this annoying or does everyone walk around with their phone taped to their ear?

Im not sure if you all know this, but if you install the latest beta of intelliscreen it gives you this very feature. It allows you the ability to enable alerts so that you recieve a sound/vibrate/screen flash(you can mix and match which of those you want) at a user set interval of every 1,2, 5 10,15,20 or 30 minutes... this is not only for new SMS, but for Missed calls and new emails.

Ithink Ilog had this feature, alerting for missed calls and unread sms,and I think you can set the alert reminding period from somewhere 1 minute to I dont recall exactely how long.

It worked for me during the beta, however the 'full release' that they want me to pay for drains my battery so i've uninstalled it. I like the app, it's cool, but not cool enough to pay for.
