Great APP... thank for developing it...

If it's not too much trouble.... is there a way to have a slider instead of the arrows?
Some card games the scores can be anything from a negative up to 100+ points and pressing the arrow 100+ times can be a pain.

    Thanks a lot.... much appreciated

    It seems Im not alone

I gave this issue more tought, what about a selector knob style of control inside the score keeping box that allows to increment in 1-10-100 increments? so if you want to add 431 points you can do:

    select 100> press up 4 times>select 10> press 3 times>select 1>press once

    Or

You can use accelerated ramping if the user keeps the button pressed, start one by one, after 3 seconds, start increasing by 10s and after 10 seconds increment in 100s

This app is not working for me on 1.1.3. It will install and will attempt to run, show me a black screen, and return to the springboard. I tried to change the permissions with no success. Has anybody been able to run this under 1.1.3?

I got it to work at 1.1.3....

The installer way did not work so i downloaded everything manually, and used fugu or wnscp to install it....

here is what you need to do.... This is how I got it to work on my 1.1.3 phone... earlier version it might work through installer but for 1.1.3 it simply didn't

download jiggy runtime and jiggy from here:

    http://www.jiggyapp.com/get_jiggy

Where is says the red pill, cllick both places that say HERE and download them somewhere....

one is a folder called "lib" the second is an app called "jiggy"

next download the iscore app from here:

    http://www.yianni-software.com/iPhon...Score0-5-2.zip

now, ssh into your phone using fugu, cyberduck, winscp, or any other application you want....

put the "lib" folder into the USR directory

make sure all files have 755 permission

next, put the "iscore" and "jiggy" apps into your applications folder.

    Reboot phone

    Done

what's the deal with 113? why has so much changed?

Can you please do the following for me?
    - Does the application retain the preference settings?
    - log onto your iPhone via ssh.
    - run the command (shown in bold below, which also shows my permissions)
    Code:
    ls -l /Applications/ | grep iScore
    drw-r--r-- 2 root admin 646 Feb 19 18:43 iScore.app
    - run the following commands (and let me know if it creates the file ok):
    Code:
    cd /Applications/iScore.app/
    touch psycho.txt
    ls -l psycho.txt
    - Check whether you have a file /Applications/iScore.app/preferences.info. If so, please let me know what's in it.

Hi there ashraf, and thanks for your feedback/request.

I'm in the process of implementing a mechanism/feature to increase/decrease the scores by more than values of one. I'm hoping to have it out over the next couple of days.

    Yes Sir! here we go:

The application does not keep the scores, it don't even create the preferences.info file

    PHP Code:
    # ls -l /Applications/ | grep iScore
    drwxr-xr-x     2 root    admin   612 Feb 19 08:28 iScore.app
    it creates the psycho.txt file:
    PHP Code:
    -rw-r--r--   1 root  admin  0 Feb 19 08:37 psycho.txt
preferences.info file is not created, I even created ony by myself after reading your code a little and gave it 755 permissions, its contents were:
    PHP Code:
    1,1,1,1,
They are probably wrong but I see the app reads them because scores shows as NaN and they can't be modified

I don't have a clue why this is happening, also I can't launch the jiggy server to see the IDE, so maybe the problem is there. I installed it via installer and also manually (gave all files 0755) but it does not want to launch. The runtime is obviously running OK or the app would not start at all.

    Thanks

    Hi there guys,

There's a new version available via Installer. I've changed the install script a little, so please let me know if you have any success for those of you with 1.1.3

    http://www.yianni-software.com/iPhone/iScore/#v0.6.0

Try putting this in your preferences.info file, and let me know if you can then save anything there after:
    Code:
    {"start":"0", "debug":"0", "keepScores":"1", "allowNegative":"1", "resetCustom":"1", "incrementBy":"1","score0":"0","name0":"Ace","score1":"0","name1":"Alex","score2":"1","name2":"Paul"}
