If I understand right, they even left this out of the new 3G iphone.

I really believe it will be in the final version of the new firmware. Or available as an update or something from App Store very soon. They obviously know about the problem. It doesn't need to be mentioned as being on the 3G iPhone because it is only a difference in software, fixable with an update that would be available on 1st gen iPhone as well.

    yeah they're both on installer.
Look for TextEditJ and bookmarklets, or if u preffer cydia look for Parm's Bookmarklets.
In TextEditJ u have to do a certain finger gesture for the copy/paste pop up to appear.
In safary u must have a bookmark called Copy/Paste (after u install any of the bookmarklets) when the page fully loads, open bookmarks, click on copy/paste bmrk; then a blue pannel with the followin options should appear on the center, copy text, paste text, email text. N when u click on the desired one it should work just fine. Anybody got the site where the copy/paste bookmark is hosted? so that he can get a very detailed info.

What sources should I add to my Installer for these?
