    Default [Req] Broken Silent/Ringer Switch and/or Volume Buttons --> software solution ?

    All,
    i broke my silent/ring toggle. I have permentlty the phone in silent. Is there any solution to enter the settings and put it in ring mode again?

    Or build a software button that if you press it it is in ring mode, if you press again is in silent?

    PLEASE HELPPPPPPPPPPPP

    Tx
    Ale

    ps: If it is in ring mode, i can put the volume down.... if it is in silent.. volume up won't work.

    Ok guys, i come up with some great news.

    First, i can now enable/disable Volume buttons by software, very useful for people with broken/stuck Volume buttons that are continuously pressed.

    For those with broken Ringer/Silent Switch, i can now enable all the system sound (lock, keyboard...) by software whatever its position is..

    Playing sounds can be very useful for many types of applications, but it's up to the developer to ensure that the user's desire to silence her phone is respected. Before a sound is played, you should first check the ringer state—the mute switch on the side of the phone. To check this, UIKit provides a method named ringerState within the UIHardware class.

    int ringerState = [ UIHardware ringerState ];
    This ringerState int value is read by UIKit.framework who reports it to Springboard.app, also Celestial.framework.

    To refresh the state they use [UIApplication ringerChanged:].

    i haven't yet found a way to invert it yet,hope i will soon.
    (I know it is handled/sent by the mach_kernel)

    Anybody with coding skill/knowledge that want to participate/help, please PM me.
