Mine too... The iPhone has a sound check feature like the iPod, but it doesn't seem to do anything on my iPhone where as it worked fine on my iPod. It's extremely annoying when listening to music in the car with friends to have a super loud song just come on in the middle of a conversation. I'm thinking maybe the iPhone only does the sound check on the headphone output and not the line out?

I listen to the same stuff and I also find that rock is too much bass and that trebble booster is too much trebble, they are the same ones I tried for my music that get closest

Im now getting a line out adapter to by pass all that

Rite now the sound out dont do my shute se530s justice!

Sweet man! I listen to the same stuff, and actually have both Flatliners CDs on my phone currently! I love the first one for all of the ska goodness, but the second one is growing on me as well!

Maybe a standalone app? I know it can't be built into the iPod application, but maybe another application that intercepts the mp3 before it begins streaming to the audio codec, I'd love a 12 band

I just made a great EQ setting in iTunes and I wish i can use it on my phone.
This is just a situation which makes my Cowon A2 shine over any apple media player :/
