Same here. There's also a new version out (2.2) which has fewer problems, they claim.

This can't really be used for upgrades from 1.1.2 to 1.1.3/4, because the settings are too different and are in different places. But for a restore it's fine.

Installing Cydia programs on a phone that has no internet connection: read this.

Editing binary .plist, .strings, .nib and .xib files:
    * on your computer: Windows tool / conversion website.
    * on your iPhone: convert those files in a terminal with plutil (installed with Erica Utilities) or edit them with iFile (Cydia links).

I agree it can't really be used for upgrading from 1.1.2 to 1.1.3/4 but it's fine for upgrading from 1.1.3 to 1.1.4 as the settings aren't different and are in the same place.

I've just used it to upgrade 1.1.3 to 1.1.4. All applications and settings were restored once I had 1.1.4 (restore through iTunes). Haven't had a single problem with any of my 50+ apps. Did it two days ago and been testing it and playing about with it ever since. All apps seem to work fine.

An important note would be that if you do upgrade from 1.1.3 to 1.1.4 then follow the instructions provided with iBackup which are clearly written in usage scenarios. Taking care to tick and untick 'update mode' when necessary.

Didn't know a new version of iBackup was out. I'll test it out later. Need to do a standard backup of the iPhone anyway! I love having a more concise and 'full' backup of my iPhone rather then the backup iTunes does which although is good, obviously can't back up your apps!
