    Default Quick Calling

One of the common criticisms I hear about the iphone is that it actually is a bit of a hassle quick callling, due to the Slide to unlock - Press Phone, Press Favorites, then finally press the contact.

How about a native app to streamline this, im thinking something like the dock app (which is always on top), but instead of applications it shows contacts. To make it even quicker the dock could show itself if you keep holding after the slide to unlock. This way you could make a call with one finger movment, Slide to unlock holding figure down then release on your contact.

    Just an idea.

Ah yes, like your top 5 on those tmobile commercials. It could be an app that shows images/icons of your friends faces, and you just top the friend image and it calls them. Snazzy idea!

It could also detect the call button of the BT headset, then unlock and go the phone. And voice dialing would be even better.

It would even be useful to just have the phone app load directly to the favourites menu rather than the full contacts list, that would remove one unecessary click.

It'd also be interesting if the springboard could detect a click-and-hold on the Phone icon, upon receiving which it could display a favourites list, which rings the number you release your finger on.

To jump onto what mnit was saying, it would be cool to "flick" the Phone icon up (like a swipe, but upwards) where it would display your top 5 people, or last 5 recent calls, in a manner similar to Leopard's "stacks".

My question is, are we able to grab contact info/pics yet, or have we yet to "hack" that part?

Recently called numbers would be best I reckon, thats how I place maybe 90% of my calls on my current phone - if I'm ringing someone back about something, or following up a conversation.
