Cracked Apps (ipas) DON'T work on a Jailbroken and MobileInstalled iphone
Hello to the forum again,
I'm having an iphone 3G 8G, unlocked by carrier (plays everything - It's a Vodafone one) with 2.2.1(5H11) - Baseband (Modem Firmware: 02.30.03)
I was facing a lot of crashes on Basic iphone Apps. (like Stocks, Settings) and Installer.
Maybe from Cydia Apps won't work with the iphone version.
I did a System Restore (clean) and after ituning and carrier activation I did my QuickPwn 2.2.5 (the one for 2.2.1)
Things got worse after the first look.
Usually Cydia is left installer. Mine was right.
Next I did an Cydia and Installer update (Wi-Fi) and after I added Greek Keyboard and Language and carrier logos (worked fine in my previous usage, again with 2.2.1 )
But again a problem with the carrier logo (didn't come up)
I installed Open SSH(SSL) and I did an FTP Connection with WinSCP. There I found that the Carrier logo was not at the known directory.
Also I found that I couldn't change Wallpaper.
My wallpaper was just LOCKED. (there I found a ".localized" file.
I search for the directory and found that ther was a file "LockBackground.jpg" under "var/mobile/Library" directory which didn't let any Background work.
(there I found also a ".forward" file.
Then I couldn't install any APP even though I did the process with MobileInstallation.
(I found MobileInstallation for 2.2.1 - Worked previously) and changed the file properties to 755.
I noticed that applications don't GO to Application.xxxxx directory but to var/mobile/Applications
Why these things happened to me suddently.
The only thing is that Apple asked me for a Carrier Update and said YES. But I found the Directory (they add a .... /private/var/mobile/Library/Carrier Bundles/TMobile_gr.bundle) and changed the contents ... with the Greek one.
Did they changed anything else on the phone?
Please advice me because I'm going to get crazy with this...
It's seriously because I can't install anything (like cracked ipas - only from Cydia and Installer).
Thank you in advance,
Athens, Greece
