someone has to say it.... I might as well be the asshole.

I buy Nike's because they make me jump higher.

when my foot got too large for my Nike sneakers, I went to reeboks. Now all my shots brick off the backboard, I can't dunk, I get picked last, and I am unable to hit 3 pointers from any spot on the key. If only I had my nike's back, then magically everything would work again!!!

that is why people want installer. because to them, they are a magic pair of nike sneakers that will make all their problems go away. like the poor soul who didn't install cydia when he jailbroke his iphone because he SWEARS that it magically is going to run faster and better... /sigh or better /facepalm

If people were educated, we would all be on cydia and not give 2 shits about installer, but were not. I want SNES emulator and customize, and obviously they only are going to show up on installer (sarcasm) so I have to have it. Plus, cydia is so difficult to use (more sarcasm) and installer is so easy.

blah blah blah. I think installer sucks... there I said it. good riddence to that piece of crapware.

How is installer more user friendly? Because it has some pretty pictures?

in basics cydia is more imbeded into the iphones system and installer is more forefront if that makes sense

    plain and simple
installer just seems easier for common users cuz all they see is packages
cydia has more control over individual components most ppl wont know what does

I have been using both Cydia and Installer since 1.1.4 time and still doing so under 2.0.1 although I prefer Cydia...

I have only been using Cydia and Installer since the 2.0 versions came out, and I have to give it up for Cydia at the moment. I think Installer might be left behind in the dust for the new 2.0 firmware. Because a couple of reasons, one cydia was first on the scene when it was released and picked up all of the jailbreaking customers whether they liked installer before more or not. So its kinda like how PC's originally were released just a little while before Macs were and now they dominate the market. And the second reason I think Cydia is better is because of its overall look and functionallity. I know that Installer 4 is only in its beta stages, but Cydia is so much cleaner in finding new downloads and even searching old ones. I mean everytime you open it up it updates and puts the new downloads right at the top for you. With installer 4 if you click "all packages" you have to search the entire list. I have both on my phone but have been sticking with Cydia. Yes Installer 4 looks pretty and has smooth flashy colors, but right now Cydia is kicking some tail.
