Default New Email Program that strips out attachments

Does anyone know of a way or a program to remove attachments from email to your iphone. Whenever I am travelling my Data fees are massive as the iphone downloads everything unlike the Blackberry. Any thought or ideas, or people who can be hired to write a program like this?

    Many thanks

    Matt

I would also be interested in a program like this - the other complaint is that the emails are not stored locally - when an email is received, it should be stored locally so it can be opened immediately (a la blackberry). To see an email in the inbox, and then have to wait for the network to download the text when I try to open it is excruciating.

I assume you want to strip out attachments to minimize data transmission (perhaps internationally).

Sidekick allows you to strip off all attachments, or attachments by size (100KB, 250KB, 500KB, or 1MB), or by filetype toggles (Images(.jpg .gif .png), pdf, .doc, .xls, .ppt, audio (.midi .wav .aiff .rmf ...), unsupported audio, multimedia, and all other attachments. I have found this granularity to be incredibly helpful.

If you want to strip off attachments (to save data transmission (cost or time)), I think there should also be a way to limit the number of KB for any given webpage or for any hour or any day.
