    Question More control over SMS

    There has been a couple of posts regarding sms eg. using the passcode to allow suppression of SMS preview.

    However, when an SMS is received, it still pops up on the screen telling you who it's from. There is probably a way of suppressing SMS notification through one of the plists or some other work around. The msg itself is probably in:

    /system/library/springboard.app/english.iprog/springboard.strings (too lazy to look at this mo

    I'm sure i'm not the only one that doesn't want sms popping up when i don't want them to Any ideas work arounds.

    I would also like to see the possibility of being able to forward SMS and to be able to send to multiple recipients. These are such important and basic features

    We have recently developed a browser based mass messaging app for the iPhone. You can see it here: http://www.group2call.com/site/index...d=55&Itemid=64

    Is anyone interested in working with us on converting this to an actual application that can read the contacts from the iPhone's db so they don't have to be manually inputted via the web interface?

    PM if interested.

    That application group2call looks nice but Ill try it when it's free! I'm not going to be paying $8+++ a month for text messaging when I already have to pay AT&T.
    This web app should be free for iphone users.... at the most a one time fee.. but monthly subscription? that's bs!

    One way text messaging is free (non-shortcode). We're working out the specifics for low cost unlimted two-way SMS plans (using a shortcode).

    Your website says
    * Free Customer Support.
    * Free setup.
    * Free initial import of your contact list*
    * 10 FREE Voice and 10 FREE SMS.

    I'm not signing up for yet another account just to send out 10 messages....
    if you're saying all one-way text messages are free then maybe that needs to be changed under the TRY NOW description?

    I tried it (group2call) but when I clicked SEND to send to my group it just sits there on the iphone, the bar doesn't even seem to move past like 1/4.

    I'm uzing www.zemble.com, it doesnt have a nice iphone interface but works perfect on the safari browser and it's 100% free, incoming and outgoing messages.
    What I love about zemble is that once you create a group, it will actually automatically create an email address that you can use from your iphone to text that group without having to go to their website.

    Keep working on group2call though... I like the interface.. it just isn't working right now... and adding the email group capability like zemble would be great so you don't even need the browser.

    Hi -

    Group2call has the group email2sms or email2voice feature too. Try emailing yourgroup@group2call.com and you'll see what I mean (just make sure your group has Voice or SMS selected depending on what you want to go out).

    I'll look into why it's not going past 1/4 on the bar. It's working on our test iphones.

    Edit: we just made an update can you try it one more time for me?

    Thx.
