This shouldn't be that hard, should it?
I know, seriously. I've been waiting since day one for someone to do this. If I have to wait any longer I may just have to learn how to program.

"Shouldn't be hard..." he says. It's not exactly something that can be whipped out in a hour or two considering there's no docs or examples regarding mobileSafari plugins.

I just made a simple one. It took me 3 days and only downloads 1 file type and looks ugly. But it works as a pretty good start. I can't seem to get UITextField to work, so all my status info is on the button.

Developing a Mac OSX shouldn't be that hard either. It only costs a few million bucks.

I just tried ad-blocking via the hosts file like someone else mentioned early, and can confirm it doesn't seem to work. I tried both the /private/etc and the /private/var/root/library/preferences locations and when running terminal that program sees things like www.microsoft.com = 127.0.0.1 but when trying www.microsoft.com in safari it actually goes to Microsoft? Strange, could it be possible that Safari doesn't know to reference hosts first for dns lookup?

Anyone have any idea if that could be done? I know the Apollo app has its own hosts file, is there maybe something special with Safari?

Searching found this link, similar work already done, but no solution...
