Default [MobileMail] How do you export/archive sent emails?

I've been helping a few people upgrade to 2.0, but I've been holding off myself because I want to figure out how to save all my sent emails.

Previously, I was SSHing my mail folders every time I updated. That way, I still had the sent emails. But, now, I want to integrate them into my desktop email client. Or, at the very least, save them to my comp somehow so I can access them later.

How can I do that? How can I save all those emails I've sent through my iPhone?

Forward them all to yourself and fetch them from your computer.

I thought about this, but it's definitely not the way I'd like to go.

    A) too many emails to forward. Way too many.
    B) a minor annoyance for searching through emails in the future. Yes, minor, but still not ideal when they're mislabeled like that.

Ideally, I'd like to import /var/mobile/library/mail/sent items into my desktop sent items. Can't we find an ssh solution?

Surely I'm not the only one who wants this.

For future emails, I'm setting up an IMAP situation. But I would like a clean way to grab my old sent emails.

    Any help is appreciated.

Apple has used SQLite for the MobileMail database.

If you search the forum you'll find threads explaining how to edit/convert it.
