Default [MobileFinder] can't save its settings?

    Hey,

I can't get mobilefinder to save its setting after I close it.. I want to set Application Launch to off, and Access to system file to on..

At first it didn't save the permission I change to files, and copy/paste doesnt work, it can save its settings..

    So I did the chmod +R /Applications/Finder.app/Finder

Then, it works for changing permission, but then it doesnt save its settings.

    How can I fix that?

I had this problem too, I believe chown -hR mobile /var/mobile/ fixed it.
If not, I'll try it out, I remember it has to do with the preferences being root though.

    It's not working.

Oh, and I have symlinked my root's library and media to mobile's

Just found out my mobile folder is mobile:mobile
While my root folder is root:wheel
    Does that matter?

any of you tried installing the mobile finder thats on iclarified source ?

i cant completly install it cause the last part errors with the "main script execution falied" message, but the app is there after a respring, so what i did was, install the normal one, and then this on top, and i think, it works better (prefs save for instance, didnt try changing permisions and now im syncin 5 gb of music so i cant test it )

    Had the same problem.

    Enter Terminal and type:

    chmod +s /Applications/Finder.app/Finder
    chmod 775 /private/var/mobile/Library/Preferences/com.googlecode.MobileFinder.plist

First I had installed the normal mobilefinder, that wasn't working for basic file functions like delete. The iclarified fixed version works but wasn't saving settings. This simple command worked to resolve that.

I can confirm this is working. Thanks a bunch, this is one of the things that was really starting to annoy me too.
